OUR STORY

It all started with a simple question: "Why are the churches and ministries in the Philippines always lacking in funds?"

We see nonprofits being able to raise funds for their programs while some are also struggling. But the struggle seems to be more evident in the local churches and Christian ministries.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

The Higher Good Stewardship Institute (HGSI) emerged from a pressing need within the local church and Christian missions for sustainable funding solutions. Observing the consistent financial struggles faced by these ministries, it became evident that a dedicated approach to fundraising was essential. While nonprofits in other sectors seemed to navigate fundraising challenges with more success, local churches and Christian missions often found themselves in a cycle of scarcity. This gap highlighted the urgent necessity for an organization that could provide targeted training and resources, specifically in the realm of Biblical fundraising and stewardship.

Recognizing this need, HGSI was conceptualized to equip churches and missions with the tools and knowledge required to secure sustainable funding. The institute focuses on building the capacity of local churches by offering training programs that align with Biblical principles of stewardship. By empowering church leaders and mission workers with effective fundraising strategies, HGSI aims to transform the financial landscape of Christian ministries in the Philippines. This initiative not only addresses immediate funding challenges but also fosters a culture of generosity and resourcefulness that is vital for the long-term growth and impact of these ministries.
